Defiance Deviant Elite vs Defiance Deviant Tactical

I own a Deviant and considered the Deviant Elite for my next build. I played with one at SAC's shop a month or so back. It's nice, but keep in mind it's a medium action so you're going to have .25" more of bolt travel to cycle it. I did like the straight bolt handle over the swept style on...

    Impact Precision Action?

My information is from two actions where the spring weight was tested. Like I said, I'm not trying to ruin anyone's business or reputation. I have side by side comparisons of two Impact actions and my Deviant. I guess two actions mysteriously made it out with lighter firing pin springs...

    Impact Precision Action?

It's 18 pounds. I took my Impact built rifle to a VERY respected smith on the Hide and had him look it over. He has equipment to measure the spring strength and I video taped him testing the spring. Was he being dramatic?

    Impact Precision Action?

Nope. I shoot a Defiance. I'm being respectful to Wade and Tate and they're aware of what my issues were and I'm sure they're working to eliminate them on future actions. This place has turned into nothing but drama queens which is why I've stayed away for the last six years. If you want...

Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

My buddy and I had ours out a couple weeks ago. We were having some fun and started out shooting at 50 yards. We drew a circle around a dime and I proceeded to put nine inside the circle with plenty of room to spare on each side. A fly landed on the target and I told my buddy I was going to...

    Impact Precision Action?

Fair enough. Buy one and run it for yourself. I’m not alone with my experience , and your response is the reason many shy away from being honest about products here. Many are having great success with it. No product is perfect are bad ones are released into the wild from time to time. I...

    Impact Precision Action?

I had a poor experience with mine. It was resolved to my satisfaction but I won't be taking another chance on one.

    TL3 Action

I have a DLC'd Bighorn TL3, a Surgeon that was nitrided, a Defiance Deviant factory nitride and I just picked up my Impact Precision that is also factory nitride. I'll be posting some rifles for sale soon. The Impact is incredible. Bolt lift is similar to my Bighorn which I consider light...

    Suppressors Surefire 7.62 RC?

I would get the Sandman S out of those three. I own two Dead Air suppressors. The mounting system is rock solid and they are quieter then the Surefire options. They were also designed to reduce back pressure as well.

    Rifle Scopes NF Shootout

    I had a Beast and now own a 7-35. Get another 7-35.

    Suppressors Area 419 suppressor Adaptors

I run the Hellfire on my match rifles. A shooting buddy has five of the Hellfire brakes with suppressor adaptors on various rifles from 6.5x47 down to a Grendel and 5.56. He's using a SiCo Omega. No issues at all with them on any of the rifles. Makes me wish I owned a direct thread suppressor.

Suppressors Dead Air Sandman K for Precision Bolt Gun

I own a Sandman L and was able to test out a Sandman K at a demo day shoot this week. It was on a Noveske 10.5 5.56. The rep from Noveske said it was just outside of hearing safe, so I'm assuming that's just above 140db. The Sandman L on my 6.5 Creed is hearing safe. Ironically they had a...

Rifle Scopes Scope Snob in remission

I have the XTR2 4-20. For what I paid for it, I believe it's a good value. It now resides on my Vudoo Ravage. If you're on a budget it checks all the boxes. Personally I prefer better quality glass, and will pay the cost of admission for it. I would pay more for better glass if Burris...

If you go Impact....get it directly from Impact. Ask me how I know.

External differences between BigHorn TL3 and Defiance Deviant

I have both. I would be hard pressed to have to pick one. The bolt lift on the Bighorn is lighter, but the Deviant cycles slightly smoother. It's nitrided instead of cerakote. As long as you keep slight downward pressure the Bighorn doesn't bind. The bolt release is finicky on the Bighorn...
