    Mine was $1,100. Buy from a reputable dealer, as Steiner does not honor their warranty, and a refund is your only recourse if the scope is faulty. Inspect and test it carefully.

    I think it's safe to call foul, but this isn't rare. Stick to third party testing if you want comparable, mil-spec data. A fired shot being significantly quieter than dry fire is uh... interesting. The can must reflex over the cocking piece.

    I'll look out for that. Thank you! As for cratering, if that happens, I'm out. Popped primers stuck in the firing pin chanel are a PITA and can end a day of shooting.
