    I think you’ll be fine. 175smk are known for being a forgiving bullet. Its all I shoot in the 308. I tried the 155 scenar but never got them to shoot as well as the 175s so gave up on them. I dont think transsonic is a big deal with the 175s.

    If you are willing to change bullets, why not just change cartridges? I like shooting my 308 and its the easiest rifle i have reloaded for...but if my goal is 1000 yards in dense air, there are much better options.

    I thought that the full BC the 195 is capable of required a 1 in 8, but my 8.5 stabilizes them fine. I have a 1/8.5 Bartlein and it shoots the 180s great.
