    I shot PNTC's belly matches for a year before I signed up for my first PRS match. Those types of matches are fun, and good practice for new shooters. One will quickly learn, however, that you cannot practice on your belly and expect to do well at a PRS match....

    Bolt lube, dirt and PRS

    I've got one tube of that oil and grease that I was given as a sample years ago. Their size makes for convenient range bag lube. It works, and it's decent stuff. But, you can buy a quart of synthetic motor oil, and a whole pound of synthetic bearing grease for the same price.

    For my match rifle, I run synthetic grease on the lugs, cocking ramp, and the raceway. I also put a very thin film of grease on the bolt body. This is on a Gen 1 Nucleus. Haven't had grit stop her yet.

    I have 3 early production mags with original followers, and have never had a problem with them. Ran them in a Shilen DGR (Stiller predator) action, and a Nuke in x47. The Shilen was a 260AI, and the ARC mags actually ran that cartridge the best of any mags I tried due to the spline in the ARC...
