    It’s an adapter plate that replaces the universal adapter plate that comes with the RT90C with one that is specifically designed to mate with the RRS Anvil 30 head. Edit: See post #508 earlier in this thread for some pics of the early version of the adapter plate.

    You loosen the leveling base by twisting the handle shaft under the bowl, adjusting/aiming your rifle, and then tighten it back up by twisting it in opposite direction.
