    I've had good results using Hornady 140 ELD.

    8208 xbr / 178 ELD in 308

    With Sierra 175s, 42.7 8208 I got 2569 from a 20" barrel. Shooting 178 ELD and 43.6 Varget I got 2539 from the same gun. OAL on both loads was 2.80"

    1 in 9 twist 20 inch Hbar and 77 gr bullets.

    77s would prefer 1:8, Try some 69 Sierras. Should shoot sub MOA.

    Sig Cross Handloading..

    I shoot a Tikka 6.5, Not a Cross. I ran some Hornady 140 BTHP American Gunner Match and some 140 ELD Match. I was impressed with both and tried to duplicant them. Bought some 140 ELD and went from there. My range max is 700 yards.

    .308 win 175smk 20" 2650fps Powder Charge?

    Out of my 20" Remington LTR shooting 175 SMK I got 2574 with 42.2 IMR 4064, 2507 with 44.5 Varget, and 2569 with 42.7. Best group was 1-1/2" @ 300 with the 4064 load.

    Which cantilever mount

    I've had good experience with the Nightforce Ultralite Unimount and also the Badger Unimount. I recently bought a Vortex 1-6 and am using their mount. I've only shot it twice but seems to work fine. All of these are used on an AR platform.

    I recently bought a Vortex Viper PST 1-6 x 24. Mine is Mil/Mil 2nd Focal Plane. Glass is good. Retical works for me. I'm 77 yrs old but did have cataract surgery.

    Steel Target Opinions

    I've had a pair of MGM Auto-Poppers which probably have been shot about 1000 times. No issues. They would be a little small @ 700 yards but should be fine to 400.

    imr4895 or imr4064 in short 308win w/ 175 ?

    42.2 IMR 4064 grouped 2-1/2" @ 300 yards with my 20" Remington LTR. 44.5 Varget was an inch smaller.

    Tikka tac a1 scope mount

    I had replied earlier but since then switched scopes around and now am now running a Badger Ordnance 1-Piece on my TAC-A1 with good results. There is 0 MOA in this particular mount but easily get to 700 yards.

    Need scope advice

    I just bought a Vortex Viper PST Gen ll 1-6 from EuroOptic. Great scope for the money. The only issue is it is difficult to change magnification. Add a throw lever.

    I just sold a 20 year old Remington 700 LTR for $1295. It had a recent stock upgrade and aftermarket trigger. It was about $750 new.

    Grayboe experiences

    I had a Renegade on my Remington 700 LTR. I fit H-S Precision bottom metal with little fitting required. Liked the stock.
