    Range Report Labradar

If you get Panasonic eneloop pro NiMH AA 2550 mAh rechargeable batteries, the internal battery life is even better than the optional LabRadar 10,000 mAh external USB battery pack. The internal battery life sucks only when you use sucky batteries.

    Medium Range .223 Rifle

Agreed that you can't extrapolate short range (100/200 yd) results to long range shooting, though they are correlated. But if one can't shoot small short range groups with a particular gun, then forget about shooting long range. Reread @natdscott's post to see the level of short range...

    Medium Range .223 Rifle

No criticism to those who shoot at 750 yds intended. I'd do it too but for lack of a 750 yd range.

    Medium Range .223 Rifle

750 yds isn't mid-range but yes, 52 gr bullets aren't good for 750 yds. 22" 1:8" twist, bull barrel, fluted WOA varmint upper with carbon fiber float tube. This one is not inexpensive, but it will shoot 0.6 MOA 5-shot groups at 200 yds with 77gr Sierra TMK, 25.3 gr 2520, CCI BR-4, and LC...

    Medium Range .223 Rifle

This is an inexpensive off-the-shelf WOA varmint upper. 18" 1:12" twist, Wilson SS button rifled bull barrel. 10-shot group was made in under 60 seconds at 100 yds and measured ~0.83" center-to-center. In the other picture, left group is 100 yds, right group is 200 yds. 52 gr Berger match...

That's an awesome group. But the stock barrels aren't too shabby either.

    RPR 6mm Creedmoor load data.

Ignoring the barrel throat erosion issue (which may be endemic to the cartridge), H4350 and RL-16 are relatively temperature insensitive powders that are right in the sweet spot for 6mm creedmoor running 105gr hybrid bergers. Since these are also well tested, why not start with those?

    Favorite AR trigger

Second the recommendation on the Calvin Elite. Have 3 specimens and they are all 1.5lbs (measured). With the wider trigger shoes, the apparent weight of pull seems even less.

    Mandrel Neck Sizing Brass

If you buy Forster f/l dies, you can have then custom hone the neck diameter so you don’t overwork the brass using this methodology.

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

Given that the RPR barrels are cold hammer forged, if a barrel's freebore is too short, wouldn't all the barrels built from the same mandrel have the same issue?

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

Mine doesn't pull bullets with either load, but the rifling lightly scores the unloaded rounds. The bergers are only lightly jammed at 2.80" oal. Upper group was with 42.1gr h4350, lower with 41.8gr. No sticky bolt, but slight primer flattening at 42.1, so I'm treating that as max. Try the...

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

Mine also. But it shoots factory 108s under moa and with105gr berger hybrids (also jammed at 2.80" oal) and h4350 I shot a couple of groups in the 0.1"s during load development, so I don't worry about it.

    Redding Decapping Rod Question

No. When I converted my FL 223 type-s bushing die to 20P, the decapping rods for the .204R type-s vs standard FL dies were not interchangeable and had distinct part numbers.

powder used in Hornady 6mm Creedmoor factory loads ?

Don’t doubt your inside info, but within the neighborhood (in the pure math sense of the term) of 40.3gr charge weight using 108gr ELDs, the Hornady powder produces similar velocities to H4350. I just tossed out the powder from the factory Hornady rounds I pulled (for brass) because the...

powder used in Hornady 6mm Creedmoor factory loads ?

If you refer to the Hornady H4350 load data for the 108gr ELD and perform linear interpolation in the powder weight interval bounding 40.3gr, you end up with a predicted velocity of about 2972fps. What a coincidence...
