Anyone running SMK 110 in a factory RPR tube? What’s your load running? What powder? Also anyone running Hornady 108 ELDM in a RPR 6 Creedmoor?

I hope to take mine out this weekend to start the process. Cleaned it and will be sighting in new scope this weekend. Bought some ELD 108s for that reason. Let me know if you find a good load to start with.

i shot quite a few of the 110s and they would not shoot out of 3 different 6CM 7.5 twist barrels...my buddy just chambered a 7 twist krieger in 6XC shooting the 110s over RL26 at 3040 and printing 1 hole groups at 100yds...we have a match this saturday out to 850 so we will see how they perform.

id only buy 100 of them if your going to try them...as i said i shot 200 of them in 2 hawkhills and one bartlein all 7.5 twists and they would not shoot at 100yds...if a bullet wont shoot at 100yds im not going to chase it any farther.

So how did they do?

Sthomas I found a good load with the Hornady 108 ELDM. I went with 41.6 grns H4350. AVERAGE FPS 2994 SD2 ES 4 shot over a Magnetospeed. Remington 9 1/2 primers.

Just went and fired my 6mm Creed and got it sighted in with 108gr ELD MATCH which were incredibly accurate. Started working on a load comparing H4350 and IMR 4451 with best numbers at around .5 in. Am working on ckewning and restoring brass for next firing and was wondering if anyone knows which Hornady Headspace gauge to use? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

Forward543 I would be very interested in hearing about Reloader 26 with the Hornady 108. I used RE 26 in my 6.5 Creedmoor and went over 2900 FPS. I think about using it the 6cm interesting.

Here is the berger105 ocw

I think you could go with a faster charge still, but i am trying to go easy on this barrel to see if i cant get more life. So far at 90deg the berger at 44.5 ish looks nice at 3015fps. Ill test the eld m next.

What charge on those 110's? And how did they do?

Ignoring the barrel throat erosion issue (which may be endemic to the cartridge), H4350 and RL-16 are relatively temperature insensitive powders that are right in the sweet spot for 6mm creedmoor running 105gr hybrid bergers. Since these are also well tested, why not start with those?

40.55 Rl17 with a 110SMK 100 thou off the lands. 1 hole 100 yard groups, 3050 fps. 26" HH 1:7.5 twist, SAAMI reamer (.183" freebore). Alpha brass, F205M. ES 2fps.

42.2. .333" 2957
42.4. .719" 2997

just picked up a new 6mm creedmoor. I also have a 2000yd range within an hour from my house, so i plan on developing a long range load. any prelim info from you guys would help. The powders I have currently are RL-17 and H4350. I also plan to get some H4831 SC very soon as well... these 3 powders will be the main focus in my near future in load development, but am open to others success stories not mentioned above

That's interesting. My load was using the 108gr ELD-M and 41.7gr of H4350 had my velocity at 3050fps. I found a node there but once I started loading there I started popping a few primers in the first 100 rounds I loaded so I'm going to back it off a bit and start looking for another node in the mid 2900's. This was happening in with new Hornady brass also so that was a little curious to me.

I started at 42.0 grns with hornady brass. If you are unsure go to 40.0 grns and go slow, watching primers. Shoot some factory hornady 6creed to see what the case/ primer should look like.
