It’s about 2+ hours east for me, I live over by Lebanon about 20 minutes from VT off of 89. It’s a typical New England you can’t get there from here. I have to drive all the way down to Manchester and pick up 101 and go over to 95 and go up. When we go over to shoot at Barry’s in Conway it’s...

You are kind of beat for long range. Keep in mind here that I shoot F Class. That’s NRA High Power Competition. most of this is round targets on rectangular fields. Nashua Fish and game has 600 yards and holds matches in the late spring and summer. Keene holds a few 600 yard matches...

    Staccato C2 vs SVI Tiki

Um.... sushi is actually the rice, the other stuff just adds flavor. as for the pistols, how do you cock the hammer on the infinity? You don’t need a pistol for black bears, and probably not wolves. I love my 1911s, but I’d look for something lighter for a hiking pistol.

Suppressors If you could only own one suppressor ?

SiCo Hybrid. The only drawback I see with mine is that it's heavy to hang off of an AR, but it works for me. I've run it with 458 SOCOM, 308 and 223.

For those who are interested in WW2 warbirds I strongl recommend Greg’s Airplanes and Automobiles channel on YouTube. The details are often over my head because I’m not a pilot, but will probably make an airplane nerd get the shakes. Just for an example, his series on the P 47 is 8 parts each...

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

I’ve had my arse whipped by 155.5s at 600 yards before, then again Ive taken a few wins with 90vlds at mid range too. @ mid range the 155.5, the 155smk[2156] or the 185 jug would be a great choice, and the 185 works to 1000.

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

WARNING To the OP and anyone reading this looking for ideas for loading in a mag length 308. When I first came to this forum about 10 years ago and got my first 30 inch barrel for F Class I thought I must’ve had the slowest barrel that Krieger had ever made. There are more overstated MVs and...

I was going to point him to any of the series of Naca documents discussing superchargers and turbo chargers and super chargers that went into the f4f, f4u, the F6F, P47, and the Allison’s in the P38. I think that there may not have been any US single seat fighter that was not turbo charged or...

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

For long range You need to see how long 185 jugs will seat. They will probably work. Don’t look at F class load data on the boards, it will be too hot seated As deep as you will have to seat them. Do you want to probably run around 43 to 43.5 grains of varget. Also don’t pay attention to...

    F T/R Competition .223/5.56 for F T/R class?

There is little that is more fun that shooting a 223 with 90VLDs at mid range. I've fired thousands upon thousands of 308s and I enjoy long range, the lack of recoil in the 223 just makes it fun, and on top of that it's competitive.

I didn't know that they ever covered it, and as far as my search-fu is taking me I can't find that they ever did. There is a bootleg Zeppelin album called "(I can't get no) Satisfaction". It is a recording of a concert in Stockholm, Sweden but that song isn't on the recording. Just a usual...

Do you know of a tire that can support 100 tons? I typically push out 100 to 105 tons in a gondola, that’s riding on 2 trucks with 8 wheels, plus the 30 ish ton weight of the gon so about 17 tons per wheel (34 tons per axle) rolling. oh and then there is life of the wheels. Gons are 58 feet...

    FFP vs SFP

RE: SFP uses. For pure KD target shooting SFP is usually the choice because the reticles tend to be thinner, you don’t use the reticle for holding, and I think that in an already expensive scope they don’t raise the price. for hunting, if your reticle is a SFP that subtends correctly at...

Anyone think Tulsi about to “come out” as a Republican? Some of her latest statements are getting pretty close to the right. I know she was a representative from Hawaii. I lived there for four years that place is so far left it’s coming up in the east, so she had to be left to represent her...
