    Hunting & Fishing 224 Valkyrie vs 300 blackout

    Any of the cartridges mentioned already will work for the typical smallish - sized deer in the SE USA within 100 yd. The Valkyrie works pretty well with an 80 gr soft point and recoil is minimal, especially if you have a brake on the rifle.

    This reminds me of what we did to someone at Ft Bragg about 30 years ago. We had a 40 ft rope drop over a river. The soldier wouldn't let go and drop into the river, so we whipped him off the role kind of like this.

    I have several sets of Hornady dies which range in age from 2 - 10 years. The humidity in my workshop averages 50%. I've never noticed rust on any of them.

    I enjoyed risky pursuits BC, like rock climbing mountaineering, etc. As soon as I learned the Mrs. was pregnant, my risk level dropped significantly.
