    "First Across the Rhine" is an interesting read. I had the privilege of meeting the author, COL David Pergrin, when I was at Ft Leonard Wood in 1990. He signed a copy of the book which I gave to my father for his birthday that year.

    +1 on the Nikon D3500. You can typically find a kit consisting of the camera body & 2 zoom lenses for around $500. I have one and am quite pleased with the image quality. The controls are pretty intuitive so you can get up & running pretty quickly.

    Our daughter graduated from high school yesterday. It seems like she was only born a few years ago. High school was good for her - 4 years of Navy Junior ROTC, was co-captain of the 3 position air rifle team this year, and was an honor graduate.

    Yeah, the only thing in Greenville is the Greenville Gun Club in Conestee. I haven't been a member there since the late 90s. A range at home sounds like a good thing, however. I wish I weren't in the city limits and has the acreage to do this myself.
