Rifle Scopes New Nightforce scope - is this normal?

Just a comment from an old fart. Folks on here think nothing about dropping 3-4,000 K on a scope. A few years ago I thought a $800 Leopold was a bfd. And then I bought a $1700 on a Swarovski hunting scope 12 years ago and thought man o man that's a lot of money. Now I have Nightforces, Sightron...

Reloder 16 and barrel life in 6.5Creedmoor ?

I am thinking of buying some Reloder 16 powder for loading 147 gr bullets. I am happy with H4350 in my 140gr bullet loads. I have read somewhere that I may acclerate barrel wear with the Reloder powder. Is there any truth to that? Thanks!

    Rifle Scopes Spotting scope confusion

I have a Swarovski STS 65 20-60x spotting scope, about 10 years old. I was quite happy with it until I started shooting longer ranges with a Kahles K624i rifle scope. I find when conditions are less than ideal ( mirage, dust/wind, heavy overcast skies) I can spot my shots better with my rile...

Frozen tundra , beginning to thaw out

It's the Swiss Products K31 clamp on mount, google that and you'll find lots of pics and places to buy one. No alteration of rifle needed. Works great, same company makes a great muzzle break for these rifles, again no alteration of rifle needed.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

Don't mind the comment. I shoot my rifles, frequently in fact. most often by myself at the range weekdays when it's quiet and in the bush plus a match or two once and awhile ( I like hunting more!). The only "boys" that touch/ admire my rifles are my sons when they come to visit and shoot up...

I ordered rifle just like above last fall and specified I wanted matching mags. When I checked on it's status a few weeks ago, I was told my rifle will be entering production next month. I made it clear to vendor my magazines will be Dark Earth color. Paying as much as that rifle is costing...

Rifle Scopes Ergonomics of mid level scopes, advice wanted.

I have Kahles K624i scopes on my AI/AT and RPR rifles and added a Tikka T3 to my kit. I put a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 on it. Happy with glass, reticle feel, turrets for elevation and parallax, BUT windage adjustment requires me to lift rifle vertically, get out my little flashlight unless it's...

Anybody with experience with these? Could they be the solution to small primer 6.5 Creedmoor brass issues?

    6.5 Creedmoor

I read that article and he talks about primer "hardness". He never states , that I could see, how you find out how primers rank with respect to hardness???

    6.5 Creedmoor

I've read this primer test a few times and it gets more confusing every time. I looked up cup thickness details and got even more confused, as at least on the charts i read cup thickness does not correspond with some observations in test . Cup "hardness" was also mentioned re the military type...

    Rifle Scopes TT Sun Shade

Interesting issue. I have sun shades on all my expensive scopes because guys on this forum pointed out they protect the objective lens. Seemed reasonable cheap insurance to me. Hmmmmmm and I was saving my shekels to buy a TT, which costs almost twice as much as my best scope. I plan to continue...

    Rifle Scopes TT Sun Shade

With my Leopold at least it was like the sun going behind a cloud and not very satisfactory for my needs, but my paper targets don't shoot back.
