    Bergers are NG??

The guys at my club that routinely win or place in our 600-yard matches are big fans of Berger. These are guys that are shooting 295 or better out of 300 on a 600-yard F-class target, so basically holding 1/2 MOA at 600 for 30 shots.

What and how do you take to the range?

With all the crap i haul to shoot one rifle, my wife is beginning to wonder when i bought a crew served weapon. Lots of good tips above. I'll add that baby wipes or lead wipes are good to keep in the car for a quick cleanup.

    6.5 creedmoor or 338 Lapua?

What you need is a .270. Long action, so its got plenty of horsepower. Shoots flat, way flatter than this new junk. If you want to get the best accuracy, just handload for it. I use those Lee dies, great set. Comes with the perfect size dipper for getting powder in the case. 4064, 4065...

RCBS Gold medal dies. Full length or bushing?

Look at the 5:00 mark (exactly) in the seating stem video I posted above. I'd skip getting a new sizing die. Remove the expander from your current die and use a mandrel die. I use a Sinclair with the neck turning (.002") mandrel, but 21st Century makes a fine product too. I don't want the...

Ultimate Reloader's 14 Single Stage Press Shootout

That's a valid criticism and I think there's a Catch-22 involved. For a press that performed poorly, if the same model was re-tested and showed similar bad numbers, then the press is junk. If it was re-tested and showed good numbers, then quality control from that manufacturer is questionable.

RCBS Gold medal dies. Full length or bushing?

That'd be a good place to start. I use the Sinclair mandrel die with their neck-turning carbide mandrel. The neck turning mandrels are .002" under bullet diamater. The expander mandrels are .001" under. I wanted .002" of neck tension, so I got the neck turning mandrel.

    Good Rifle Rests

I have the Caldwell Rock BR and have used it for a year It's a "club level" rest and I'm not entirely happy with it. It's a huge step up from the Rock Jr. I had before, but there's a lot of lash in the various adjustments. Yes, it has similar features to fancy rests so it checks the boxes...

Ultimate Reloader's 14 Single Stage Press Shootout

Did we discuss this yet? Single Stage Press Shootout - Full Article Data Summaries & Conclusion Some things that I took away: -The Frankford Arsenal M-Press might look like a Co-Ax, but it doesn't have that oh-so-easy sizing force the Forster Co-Ax has. Other numbers are middling at...

RCBS Gold medal dies. Full length or bushing?

Especially for those loading on a progressive or turret, that's a strong option. (This is where where someone breaks a blood vessel at the notion of loading precision ammo on anything but a single stage press.)

    RCBS Match Master Dispenser

The best thing about the Match Master (so far, since it's not on shelves), is that it has pushed street prices on the Chargemaster 1500 to $2690-$299. The Chargemaster 1500 is a good value that complements my skill level and loading process.

RCBS Gold medal dies. Full length or bushing?

I should mention I have some buyer's remorse about the Forster Benchrest Seating Die. I should have got their micrometer seater instead. My understanding is that they're the same internally, only the "adjustment knob" is different, with the micrometer seater allowing for more accurate...

RCBS Gold medal dies. Full length or bushing?

If I was buying a new press today, I'd look at the info presented in this article: 14 press shootout. The biggest surprises to me were how well the RCBS Rockchucker supreme did in many categories and how high sizing force was for the newer Hornady Iron Press. When I picked new dies a month...
