Interesting New Entry Level Rifle The Ruger American Predator

Great concept. I wonder what the magazine lengths will be like? I would hate to be limited to single feeding with the long bullets.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Need a full size .40 S&W which one Springfield XDM.M&P or a Glock

I was very impressed with the G35 gen4 I had for awhile. I never was a fan of .40 until that pistol.

    .223 AI Gunsmith Recommendations

223ai, can you show pictures of the feed ramp modifications on your rifle? I've never had any trouble with the factory geometry, but I'm all for smoothing things up. Sorry to get off topic.

Question for 700 Tactical 223 owners

Mine shot several of Hornady's 75 grain loads, FGMM 77, and Nosler CC 77 into about an inch. Sometimes a little bigger, sometimes smaller. I do not recall the exact freebore, but I do know that it is not particularly short. I used a single shot follower until I got an ACIS magazine set-up...

    AI 223 mags In Stock

Has anyone had a chance to try the new production magazines yet? I noticed the beveling on the front of the mag lips was a bit different.

    need help with decision

I was in a very similar position some time ago and went with a stock upgrade first. In hindsight, good glass definitely should have taken priority.

    Rifle Choices for Fiance

First I would say .22. But for centerfire I would look hard at a faster twist .223. Either a T3 varmint or SPS tactical for factory rifles. That's how I got my SO hooked on shooting. Plus you can feed it cheaply so they can practice a lot and get better quickly.

Can anyone recommend a good class III that is set up to e-file? I got to experience a suppressor for the first time on Sunday and now need my own.

    75 vld and 9 twist

Recently I was finally able to get some 75 vlds and last night loaded up a quick test ladder not knowing if they would stabilize. As a note, my rifle is a 20" .223 sps tactical (9 twist) reamed to .223 AI that would not stabilize the 75 a-max. Anyway, this morning it was a toasty 10 degrees...

223 AI 75 AMAX COAL concerns

Another +1 for 8208. It runs 69 and 77 smks very well out of my ai. Does good with variable temperatures too. Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk

Curious to hear what you would sell

The cost to feed the remaining rifles might be something to consider as well. I'm partial to .223 bolt actions because I can practice a lot for relatively little. That way I don't have to cut back as much if things get tight.

Rifle Scopes Recommendations on (3) scopes

I like the Bushnell 10x mil/mil myself. I had two and they have both tracked accurately and been perfectly reliable. While some see the one inch tube as a disadvantage, it keeps the optic light and small. Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk

Tale of two Stocks: Manners EH1 and JAE-700

How does the rifle feel/balance with the Manners stock? Is awkwardly top heavy?

Billet vs forged, and help me decide on a lower

With any reputable manufacturer I think the only practical difference between forged and billet lowers is cosmetics. I would focus on getting an upper and lower that fit together with little slop. While this may not be an issue of functional importance, I think it leads to a much nicer feeling...

For distance there are two rifle ranges around town. One is out to 330 yards and the other is only 100 yards long. I am sure there are other spots where you could get out much further, but I don't know about them yet. Pistol shooting seems to be the big local shooting sport. There are two...

Sidearms & Scatterguns STI experiences/opinions wanted

I have had 3, a 9mm uspsa single stack, a 45 lawman, and a 45 falcon 3.9 double stack. They're all accurate, well built, and smooth shooting. The 9mm doesn't feed some hollowpoints 100%, and the double stack magazines required some tuning for full reliability, but other than that I have no...
