I have a remington 700 5r cerokate tactical edition and plan on putting a bushnell elite 3.5-21x50 hdmr and a macree precision stock on it but at this time I only have funds for one or the other. I have another 308 I can shoot till I get it built. My decision is which to get first scope or stock in a way I want the stock so I have the cool factor and don't have to readjust and rezero for the new chassis.And on the other hand it would be nice to actually be able to shoot the rifle so I should get the scope as you can see I'm torn what are you guys opinion on the plus side I could sell the stock that came on it cause its practically new never been shot or seen dirt still in box its a bell and carlson.

I was in a very similar position some time ago and went with a stock upgrade first. In hindsight, good glass definitely should have taken priority.
