    Re: FN SPR A1 vs Rem 700 AAC-SD build I have an SPR and an upgraded SPS tactical. If I had to choose between them I would pick with the SPR without a second thought. Not only is the SPR better constructed, but it has had the edge in reliability and accuracy as well.

    223/223AI best powder, (almost) 2013 edition

    Re: 223/223AI bestpowder choice, (almost) 2013 edition 8208 has been working very well for me in my 19.5" 223 ai bolt gun and my 20" 223 gas gun. Good velocity, good metering, and great consistency. This has been primarily with the 69 smk and 70 vld.

    Re: New to me Remington! Very class rifle, I like it a lot. As far as the trigger is concerned, a reputable smith should be able to tune the factory unit very nicely. Or if two stage is your thing I really like the CG Xtreme trigger. It's what I run in my 700.

    Re: .223 1/9 twist and 75gr AMAX, good combo? The 68 bthp did pretty well, however I have had the best luck with the 69 smk. The 70 vld, 75 bthp, and 77 smk also worked just fine.
