Truly 4E wide non-gortex mid-height boots
I typically wear a size 13 4E. My wife found a pair of Prophet Ridge Walker (model M3599) that are actually 5E and they are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. Good luck- bnanaphone

Imported carbon fiber tripod (RT90C)
I have all three: RT90C, midwestoffroad's plate and the Anvil 30 and it's a great combination. The original plate that comes with the tripod works alright but the Anvil is only held in place by the single 1/4" screw through the center of the plate. Have you looked at the Spyderco Smock? S30V liner lock with button release handle is a little thin but it carries well flipper blade, not assisted but flips well tip up carry- bnanaphone
