    338 LM on a 1917 enfield

Re: 338 LM on a 1917 enfield Never heard of that round. It seems like it pushes the enfield action to its limit. Quote from the site: <span style="font-style: italic">"Spring 2003 Testing of the Enfield has begun. This barrel is proving to be one of the best yet. Sub minute of angle is the...

    338 LM on a 1917 enfield

Re: 338 LM on a 1917 enfield I'm surprised there seems to be so much "guess work" regarding this. Don't actions have strength ratings - in psi?

338 Lapua X 3!! You gotta love it.

Re: 338 Lapua X 3!! You gotta love it. If your hitting the same targets I would say the others are overpriced <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: diego-ted</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div...

    338 LM on a 1917 enfield

Re: 338 LM on a 1917 enfield I'm wondering about this. Yes - the 338 Lapua is based on the 416 Rigby case which the 1917 action can handle, but the 338 is a 61,000psi round. The 416 Rigby is 47,000psi round. Won't the bolt thrust (stress) on the action be more with a 338?

    Rifle Scopes murphy precision

Re: murphy precision Best there is (in my opinion). Just bought a base for a Savage 338 Lapua from him. The fit and finish of the base is perfect.

Savage 110BA in .338 Lapua Mag report

Re: Savage 100BA in .338 Lapua Mag report Nice shooting. My Savage 338 (110FCP) likes Retumbo and Noslers. Here's a 370 yard target I shot.

    A better Savage 110BA 338LM

Re: A better Savage 110BA 338LM It's amazing how some of these shoot great and some are terrible. Glad I got a good one (110FCP HS precision). I also went with a Murphy Precision base on mine. The aluminum Savage base was getting torn up from recoil. I really like how your rifle looks...

Tax Return = New GAP ?

Re: Tax Return = New GAP ? I say do it. I'd do it if my Savage 338 didn't shoot as well as it does. As strange as it sounds - I wanted to go custom but now I'm worried about ending up with something less accurate than the Savage. By the way - I also have a custom gun (BAT 6BR)

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Vs. Sightron SIII 6-24x50

Re: Bushnell Vs. Sightron SIII 6-24x50 I also decided to standardize. I have two Sightron 10X50X60 scopes. One on a 6BR and the other on a 338 Lapua. I run both at 50 power most of the time. The clarity is great and sometimes I wish I had even more magnification. That's why I didn't go with...

Budsgunshop order, 11 days after payment and still

Re: Budsgunshop order, 11 days after payment and still Sorry to hear about your issue with buds. I almost ordered from them but decided to pay a little more and ordered my rifle locally. Got it in a few days and didn't have to pay until I picked it up.
