    I would recommend going with Leupold you can see a good selection at optics planet.com and they also have good magnification they go out to about 18x and further so that should allow someone with poor vision to still make some good shots.

    I am personally a big fan of Stag Arms I got my 5.56mm from them a few years ago and I have been very happy with it ever since. But you can go too wrong with Colt either. I would would go for one with a flat top receiver and a quad rail already on there. Although there is something to be said...
