I have varget. Have had varget for like 5 years. I just don't need more. I need something that's temp stable and clean burning to load the grendels with. I can get TAC, BLC2, CFE223, but I'm still keeping an eye out for a decent stick powder.
Just to get an idea, is it comparable in price to the MidwayUSA pricing? I have one 8 pounder in cart and comes out to close to $450ish.
Don't know if I want to pay that or just get benchmark or n133 for cheaper.
The only time I had issues was when i seated a 120 amax on virgin brass. I realized it was all the friction from the neck not being lubed enough that caused a slight ring to imprint on the bullet after seating.
The very few 107 TMK & SMK bullets I have loaded presented no issues.
Do you have any clue who makes those 85s we bought?
I guess I could build an ARC or I've always wanted a dasher/GT. I now have bullets to use as an excuse to build that 22cal.
Prolly should go with a 123 of some sort or even the 107SMK/TMK.
That's a good bullet for a bolt gun that let's you push pressure and load longer to try and gain some speed.
Just go ARC. You're shooting moving targets. You want your bullet there as quickly as possible. You can also load the 62 eldvt with more room in the arc than in the 223. Not that you want to specifically run that bullet but it might be a good option with the coyotes.
I tried the 144s with h4350 not too long ago and got up to 2800 without having any pressure signs so it works there too. But I probably won't be running them that fast. I'll back down to 2760ish or 2780ish to preserve brass life.
