    New Winchester 70 Alaskan in 30-06, who has one?

    Any other reviews or comparisons? I was thinking about picking up an older pre64 in 30-06 (I like irons on my hunting rifle) but price is almost same as the new Alaskan. Figured I research differences and opinions. Thanks!

    Barrel length and fixed vs detachable mag? What is max barrel length you feel is good without getting "unwieldy" in the field? Prefer fixed or detachable mags?

    How many of you actually use your shorter tactical rifle (20" - 22" barrel), like a Rock, hunting in the field? Do you find it too heavy? I'm thinking for wild pig, deer, elk, ect?
