    Re: triggers I have run them both in Remington 700's and much prefer the feel of the Timney trigger. Maybe I jut jot a bad apple with Rifle Basix, but it has crep and not as crisp of a break.

    700P identifying marks

    Re: 700P identifying marks The two rifles have different finish on the barrel and action. The 700P has what I think is a parkerized finish and the 700SPS has a black oxcide finish. I have not seen any "700P" or "Police" markings on my 700P.
