Yeah that’s the one!
I use it for hunting and gong bashing. I haven’t weighed the rig yet but I will next time I’m out with it. Balances really well and is wonderful to shoot. Just enough palm swell too.
I used mine for the first time last week.
Was pleasantly surprised by the eye box. ver had an issue getting sight picture and it was nice and sharp.
Ignore the yardage on the parallax though. Just dial to clear sight picture.
Love mine
Finally got out after 2 years of waiting due to restricted travel.

Aaah, gotcha.
Never had one with a cheek piece and after coming from the Savage rifles I was super happy with the fit, finish, and function of the Tikka.
TBH mine has always ended up in another stock.
I'm actually at a total loss as to what you are talking about!
I've not seen any issues on the stocks that I've had. Granted they all ended up wearing some other brand anyhow.
Have you got any photos ?
Probably due to the lack of mag length?
It's a good point though if you mean the plastic mags over the CTR versions.
I don't see the point in spending that much per mag and would rather go another route if going through the process of changing stock/chassis.
Looks like Delta has had a facelift.
Quite like the matte finish and new look.
Turrets seem to have different hash marks and the illumination dial sports the new Delta blue stars logo.
Gen 2 for comparison
So good you got it solved.
I’ve had three Savage rifles over the years. Two second hand and one brand new Predator Hunter Max 1 that just refused to feed and some even had an issue where it would not fire if the trigger was not pulled exactly straight. And I mean EXACTLY.
I love the Savage...
Hope everyone is doing ok through these strange times.
Like most people I guess, I have had my annual hunting trip delayed by a year. I normally only get back to NZ once a year in Autumn / Fall but missed out.
Bored out of my tree I bought a drone with the money I would've spent on the trip...

Just waiting to install the Stryker HD into Badger rings on the MDT 20 MOA pinned rail.
The MRAD RD version (no donut) is on its way down here in Aus.
Cant see the donut being useful on the 4.5-27 model.
Interested to see how they go with their reticle designs in the future. This scope was pretty much designed due to the USA markets demand right?
They have shown to be a forward...
Anyone with real world experience?
Not been able to find any YouTube videos with a review on them other than a quick “the glass is great” comment.
After a more substantial review if anyone has a link or cares to share.
I did see the review on the 5-30x56 saying the eye box was tight and a bit...
Yeah it definitely improved the feel but it felt a bit nasty having to remove the o ring to improve something.
The great thing about Athlon is that they listen .... I’ll be interested to see what happens with the Cronus line as the original turret feel lacked tactile clicks too when compared...
