Rifle Scopes Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question

Re: Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question I just looked at mine again at 4x power, the vertical reticle is shifted to the left as compared to the lines for centering the bubble, never noticed it before. As most, if not all the shooting I'll be doing is at 200yds or further I've pretty...

Rifle Scopes Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question

Re: Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question Just took this pic, the lines at the bottom to align the bubble in are not easy to see but this is at 14x and the verticle line is centered Brad

Rifle Scopes Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question

Re: Springfield Armory 1st Gen scope question Sounds to me like your scope may be tweaked, the Vertical line should remain in the middle regardless of magnification. I haven't noticed the probelm you're having with my 1st gen. Brad

    Range Report: Model 75 .22

Re: Range Report: Model 75 .22 I have one original 5 round mag (age shows with the metal) that still works fine and years ago I was able to find 2 more factory new 5 rounders. The 10 round mag I had was worn out and unusable.

Barrel Twist vs. Bullet Weight (.223)

Re: Barrel Twist vs. Bullet Weight (.223) The only reason I ask is I was thinking of using my AUG A1 for the CMP events at the local range, I think they shoot out to 200 or 300yards. I don't really want to spend the time or money on searching for the right load like I did my AR so figured...

Barrel Twist vs. Bullet Weight (.223)

Quick question, for off the shelf budget surplus (whatever you want to call it) .223 (5.56mm) FMJ ammo what has been your experince as being more consistent with a 20" Barrel 1:9 twist, Max range would be 300yards 55g or 62g? Thanks Brad

Gunsmithing spent rounds will not extract

Re: spent rounds will not extract I had the same problem with the HSM 155's, they'd extract though but it took a lot of pulling on the bolt. I shot 4 different loads that day from HSM and it was only the 155's that gave me that problem.

Range Report Range Report: HSM Ammo & Savage 110 .308

Re: Range Report: HSM Ammo & Savage 110 .308 Found that by bedding bolts worked loose sometime during the day of firing. I took it apart and looked for any damage and the reasembled and torqued to 65in/lbs. Apparently the recoil lugs are questionable so I ordered a new one from SSS along...
