Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

Got mine back yesterday. Not including shipping time it took seven working days - so not bad at all. Hopefully the following will save a bit of time for some people. Objective bell is fairly compact so I went with the Spuhr SP-4601C - unfortunately the saddle bottoms out on the mount -...

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

DT27 elevation wouldn’t lock on zero. MTC were in the wrong position as well - 0.1, 1.1…. Never even mounted it.

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

My 6-36x56 has gone back as well. Not exactly blown away by the customer service from one S&B employee in particular. Let’s hope we have them back soon.

Info Request for Tikka T3 Sporter in cal. 6,5x55SE ?

They're all the same AFAIK Sbaerchi - the T3 has the same action for long and short action. What stock are you going for? I'd recommend PSE-Composites - he's a member here and a very good guy to deal with. Not sure if he accommodates lefties though?

    Rifle Scopes S&B Ultra Short

A guy from another forum I'm a member of runs this site - Schmidt & Bender PM II 5-20x50 ULTRA SHORT He seems to have a good reputation - not very active but has given honest advice even if it possibly cost him a sale. I sent him a mail there on expected delivery date.

    Rifle Scopes S&B Ultra Short

Just browsing some optics sites and I see the Euro pricing for the Schmidt & Bender PM II 5-20x50 ULTRA SHORT has made an appearance. €2,785 - could have been worse. They're meant to be bringing out an illuminated version later in the year - where are they likely to have the illumination...

    20" 6.5x55?

Thanks lads - I would like to go under the 20" but the law here reckons that I'd be more prone to robbing a bank or some such s**t if I had a short barrel ;) Seriously 20" is the legal limit. I'm definitely sticking with the Norma 120 - also had good luck with the Federal 140gr but although...

    20" 6.5x55?

Quick background first - I have a Tikka T3 in 6.5x55 for the last 5 or 6 years - I keep threatening to have it rebarelled. I use it for deer (Sika mainly) usually out to 200 yards but have shot further in the right conditions - wouldn't consider anything over 300 yards. I'm set on the 6.5 as it...

    PSE ETAC stock upgrade

Re: PSE ETAC stock upgrade I had a chance to get get my hands on one recently - have to say that I really liked it. The weight is perfect - handled a similar model from McMillan at the same time and the difference is just ridiculous. I really like some of the little touches they've added -...

Photos I couldn't believe this one

Re: I couldn't believe this one Plange - what kind of testing do you do on the scopes. Maybe post up some videos of this in practice? I know a lot of computer manufacturers do drop testing etc. of their laptops - motorbike helmets have to be put through CE certification etc etc Every...

Rifle Scopes Illuminated Reticle, Pros and Cons

Re: Illuminated Reticle, Pros and Cons AtownBcat - I can see how you'd think from my post alright - I didn't think yanks did sarcasm - personally I don't shoot much at night at all - the odd fox if asked to - and never deer although I know plenty of wasters that do. I think it's pretty...

Photos USMC and French Foreign Legion in Afghanistan

Re: USMC and French Foreign Legion in Afghanistan What are the pouches on their left hand side for? I didn't think a French citizen can join the Legion unless as an officer? Knew a lot of guys over the years who tried - a few got in - not many lasted though.

Rifle Scopes Illuminated Reticle, Pros and Cons

Re: Illuminated Reticle, Pros and Cons I think they make night shooting with a spot lamp a lot easier - same goes for stalking in the early morning or late evening when you just have the silhouette of the animal but a lot of the time there's not enough contrast to pick out the cross hairs.
