Hello all,

After some years of shooting my Roedale rh40 with the MCST stock, it was time for a change and at the same time trying to lighten up a bit the whole system.

Without a doubt and after taking a look at the classics, I decided on the new ETAC carbon fiber stock made by PSE in Ireland, with left side studs and one in the front to be used with my Harris bipod.

It is a tactical style stock, with a nice pistol grip, flat and wide for end ( more than enough for my skinny barrel) and adjustable cheekpiece.

I was absolutely surprised at the great finish of the stock and nice color. I hope the pics do it justice. But I was more pleasantly surprised at how light the stock is , considering it has an adjustable cheekpiece that besides works like a charm, to be adjusted with just one screw.

Seen from the bottom, the wider for end, very comfortable on bags and even freehand.

Here is the rifle already fitted. Handles very well but still haven´t had time to shoot it.

Customer service was not good, it was superb. I got first class attention, stock was ordered to my specs, and delivered in hardly a month¡¡¡

Thanks Edi¡

Re: PSE ETAC stock upgrade

The ETAC stock is a lightweight tactical stock with excellent ergonomics. I personaly use one on my tactical rifle when i compete in hunting style matches ( chassis systems not bieng allowed) the stock weighs only 860g. thats amazingly light for a straight grip, fat forend tactical stock. I also use it when hunting in any kind of terrain as it saves my a good 1kg on the weight of the chassis type stock.

After dealing with Edi from PSE now for several years, and having used and fitted many of his stocks I can vouch for thier ruggedness, quality and availability.

Edi, make more stocks, we need more EU manufactured models with great availability,.

Re: PSE ETAC stock upgrade

I had a chance to get get my hands on one recently - have to say that I really liked it.
The weight is perfect - handled a similar model from McMillan at the same time and the difference is just ridiculous.

I really like some of the little touches they've added - set's it apart.

I use one of the PSE sporter style stock on my T3 - those things are tough. I hunt in fairly rough country - with my knees starting to fail I've come a cropper more times than I'd care to admit. The PSE has taken my full weight and come out unscathed.

Really tempted to do a 308 build around a Surgeon action Border barrel and the PSE ETAC - that would be something.......

Alan, we might have a chance of Gyr coming for a walk/swim on Patricks farm this year.
After almost a full year of rain it should be nice and soft.....

Gyr has some absolute stunning terrain that he shoots over. Very hot and dry though.
Not sure if I'd be fit enough for it.

Pete, any chance of e-mailing me those pictures?

cheers
