    Gunsmithing Devcon vs acraglass

Same as Sjett I use Devcon steel and Johnston paste wax for a release agent and have never had a problem. I prefer Devcon because its not as runny as Acraglass.

    308 subsonic load

I use a 170 gr Hornaday or Sierra (30-30 projectile) with 9.8 grns of Trailboss. Works great, very quiet, good case fill and I don't have to worry about using any drilled out primer pockets. Only down point is that I have found that below 38 degrees they tend to go transonic for some reason.

Hunting & Fishing AR 223/5.56 for big game hunting

I have used it for years. I have taken 20 plus deer with the 5.56. Bullet placement is critical along with using a quality controlled expansion bullet. Barnes X's and Nolser Partitions are my favs. I would also try to keep shots under 100 yards.

Gunsmithing Devcon on a wood stock?

Prefer Devcon over Marine Tex. Brownells makes die (black or brown) that helps match it to wood. Also has atomized steel to mix into it to make it stronger. Great stuff.
