Not very heavy? 40lbs or so. I think they say it's good for 90lbs. It handles the weight just fine. You can strap a rifle to the side of it easily. I don't know there are so many things I like about it.
I'm not sure how the Komodo would do with the futura frame. I don't know what your using it...
I'm not sure I could mount mine far enough forward to get that close to the charging handle? It has almost 4" of eye relief. I have it centered on the mount and have 1 slot left on receiver to go forward, in fact the scope sits about an inch behind the charging handle.

If your that worried about it just call SWFA and ask them. I'm sure it's fine. I recommend you use a 20 MOA base though. There is no down side to using one.
I don't have an answer to your question but I have 18 mils left after a 100 yard zero with a 20 MOA base on mine at around 4,500 feet elevation. Shooting 308 as well.
I used to wear danners... 10+ years. I got tired of buying new ones every year. My last pair of quarry boots lasted 11 months with about 6 months of actual use.
I got a pair of kenetrek boots 1 1/2 years ago and they are awesome! They are just about ready to be re-souled.
