    iv got the chance to get a used barrel, 30 rounds down the tube. its a rock creek factory seconds, 5r.. the contour isn't what i want but its close enough to consider. my other option is a new custom contoured mcgowan.. what do you guys think about rock creek factory seconds?

    Re: rebarrel a remington 700 mmmmm,, any of them will work for you.. not saying your going to get .5 moa by putting a new barrel but any decent barrel maker will make a better barrel than stock.. iv chosen mcgowen to make me a barrel for my budget build, havent ordered it yet.

    Re: new 30-06 build, need some input Thanks all that posted so far.. Right now loading 168 grain nosler bst, but have thought about berger hunting vld 175 grain.. And i figured 10 to 12 twist but of the three am unsure which would suit me the best.
