Sidearms & Scatterguns Old "Air Marshal" handgun with " snipe sights"

Thanks for all the info guys, all of it has been great, the pros and cons of what came out of the design!

Sidearms & Scatterguns Old "Air Marshal" handgun with " snipe sights"

When we were in the LEO Academy they had a couple duty guns (Glock 17's) that had no sights to show that from 0-7 yards, most shooting is done via "instict" or indexing. A real eye opener for some guys and gals that had never touched a gun and were struggling with punching holes in paper.

Lest my manners slip, thanks Sinister (and everyone else that's helped with my random ass questions). You guys are all great in this forum! (feel more like a lurker most times because everything I need had been asked and answered! LOL) Thanks again...J~

Sidearms & Scatterguns Old "Air Marshal" handgun with " snipe sights"

From what I understand they were designed to be used at "point shooting" distances, but if you trained with a certain technique that was a little counterintuitive to a conventional setup, you could effect a head shot just as fast as a point and shoot center mass. It was coupled with a Glaser...

That's them! Thanks a TON!!! Been making me nuts the last couple weeks. Anyone ever shoot with them?

Sidearms & Scatterguns Old "Air Marshal" handgun with " snipe sights"

About15-20 years ago an old timer working at a local gun store (I'm almost one of them now myself! Lol) showed me his carry gun which was a "special design for Air Marshals" that had a one piece sight on top that started wide at the back and narrowed to a point towards the muzzle (think of...

    Old school Delta Tourniquet/Cravat

Thanks for taking the time to throw that info to a "youngster" lol

    Old school Delta Tourniquet/Cravat

Thanks Doc...but as far as the actual triangular "Delta Bandage" it was just left with the edges unaltered? (Looking just like an oversized handkerchief basically).

    Old school Delta Tourniquet/Cravat

Is there any place to find the "tried and true" method of securing the ends of the old delta tourniquets or cravats that were worn around the neck of soldiers (saw them utilized heavily in Desert storm particularly. Seems the shemagh has replaced it by and large). All of the searching I have...

    Gunsmithing Savage 112 bolt/firing pin

Re: Savage 112 bolt/firing pin That did make sense...that "front protrusion" spec is the holy grail that nobody seems to want to share. Any help there?

    Gunsmithing Savage 112 bolt/firing pin

OK...so I acquired a Savage 112 from a friend for the right price (free!). It had been in a house that had been flooded while he was on vacation and was "ruined" with rust. On a hail mary, he stripped the thing down to nothing and sanded it down to bare metal to just paint it and try to save...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Conceled Carry for the active life style.

Re: Conceled Carry for the active life style. No, I'm not trying to sell KelTec's I SWEAR! lol...that being said: My P3AT and .32 both came with a little zippered nylon case. It's got the KelTec logo on it in white stitch but a black sharpie fixed that right up! I regularly carry the P3AT in...

Sidearms & Scatterguns When do you carry?

Re: When do you carry? Supposing I'm one of the lucky that get to carry just about anywhere as a qualified retired LEO. My .02 on this: TARGET: To the trained, mentally prepared individual carrying ANY tool that they are comfortable in using to defend themselves with confidence, exude...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Keltec Pistols

Re: Keltec Pistols I carry a P3AT and the .32 cal on the same frame. I use these as my "summer" guns. In AZ heat, carrying the G19 is just not real practical. The Kel-Tecs drop into a pair of shorts or carry on a lanyard. I found the key is ammo...no radical HP or MagSafe type stuff works...
