    M14 craving - wanting to build the ultimate sub-moa M14.

    I have been very happy with the one I just configured. Took a stock Springfield NM and put in a Sage chassis, consistent 1.5 moa with the right ammo if I do my part. So far haven't been past 100 yards though.

    When I got it yesterday the bolt was in the receiver and the barrel was not installed. The handle would rotate and the safety would engage and disengage but the bolt would not pull open. It felt so tight I thought there was a release or something I was missing but there wasn't. I finally tapped...

    I got the bolt to move finally. Against my better judgement I tapped it on the side end with a wooden dowel and hammer and it moved a bit and seems to be working correctly. Im still not sure what had it locked in place but it simply wouldnt move.

    I have tried it with the safety on and off and it won't budge. I cant get it to move at all. I guess I will call Sig and see what they have to say as it should move back to open so the barrel can be installed.

    Re: Bad experience with SWFA, buyers beware I have purchased several items from SWFA over the years and have had nothing but first class and outstanding service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and do so all the time. They are a great company to deal with.
