I had this A2 worked on by Dana English. English Rifles - Precision Gunsmithing
Dana cut the barrel to 24", threaded it and indexed an AAC suppressor adapter. He bedded the action and finally he installed the CDI bottom metal. It deserves a better scope than I have on it. It is a great stick. Dana made a safe queen into a favorite.
Once the Seekins low 6/4 rings come in, she'll be ready for the range. I'm warming up to her already.

I'm a lefty. I intend to purchase a right-handed action, but I'm wondering what the deal is with the McMillan stocks on these. It appears as though they are cut such that they would feel the same with your left or right hand. Is that correct?
Correct. I can't help you out with the cheekpiece question though, I bought an A1 model specifically because it didn't come with a cheekpiece. I'm planning on sending mine off to have KMW loggerhead adjustable hardware installed.
Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated.
Now that I've got my main question answered, anyone out there that can cover the cheek piece part?
Hey mate,
There is a gentleman here on the Hide by the name "Stockdoc", he ( Joe ) has just done the KMW Loggerhead install for me on my McMillan A3.
I only just received it back on Monday, the fit and finish is extremely professional and cannot be fault... It looks as if it had come from the factory that way.
His communication and service was precise with a quick turn around. If you have not noticed I reside in Sydney, Australia.
I highly recommend "Stockdoc" , you will be very pleased with his wizardry.
I will post some pics in the next day or so.
Cheek piece screws can go in on either side.
