for those of us who don't have much spare time, home practice help???

IMHO, dont just sprawl out on your belly. Sitting, kneeling, standing, crouching, ducking, etc are going to be important if you are going for practical/tactical shoots. Just about everything I encounter day to day I think about how and could I shoot off of it. Again, just my opinion. Do old...

    Thinking of entering first match.

I shot my 1st match Saturday. Things I can think of off the top of my head. Breathe. Get a sling. Itll come in handy. Check, double check, have someone else check, and triple check your gear. (I got to the match and my scope was canted.) Get a good nights sleep before hand. Slow down. You...

    Another OCW evau..

Do you mean 9 total, or 9 total of each weight for a total of 27 for consistency? Sorry, just the wording confused me a little. Brass was all same head stamp. Measured and grouped into lots. Same with the bullets. I check the bearing length, and weight. Honestly, once I decide on a powder...

Come back fire 41.3, etc etc in the first string is complete. Walked downrange look at the target, look at buddies target, walk...

Shot at 100yds. Rem 700 20" barrel. 175gr SMKs over H4895. Id fire 2-3 rounds counting up, then walk away for 5-10 minutes, come back and fire the rest. Wash/rinse/repeat. 42.7 is book max.

    "Shooter Ready" software for training

Best I got was 88. I can figure out the wind. The little arrow on the meter never moves. I felt good my biggest yardage was off by 50yds, closest estimation I got was 4 yds off.

Another guy asking for ladder test opinions...

And for the sake of learning, I think in the 4895 and the 3031, loads 4,5, and 6 are the ways to go. I want to load up 5 rounds of each and see how they do. The 760, I have no idea where to start. Which is unfortunate as I have the most of that powder.

Another guy asking for ladder test opinions...

Shot at 200yds. (I wanted 300, but some guys were in the carbine bay and I couldn't back up) .308 trimmed to 2.010, seated at 2.850. 175gr SMK's. Hornady and Win brass. Bullets and cases were weighed w/in .1gr and measured length to .001. I do have the Hornady Comparator for the bullets and...
