STI, what Temp9 said about case necks and cleaning is true, Try skipping the ultra - sonic cleaning, don't even brush the necks untill they have been fired twice. Also fireformed brass "can" require a different powder charge.
I am digging up this old thread to see if there is any recent information. Has Mcmillan changed or improved their clamp bar system? Or is the KMW ACP still the way to go? Thanks.
They will leave an exit hole on the off side of a coyote that you can put your fist thru. But I have found them to be very accurate in every .308 I have tried them in.
According to a Lee manual you can load your .44 mag cases to .44 special velocity with 5.5 to say 6.5 gr. of 231/HP38 and avoid the carbon ring in your chamber. Lee manual states 5.5 to get 800fps. I have done this with WAP and WLPM primers with good results. All the usual loading cautions apply.
Will a bullet slip into the neck of a fired case? If so then your problem is not in the neck. You might try coloring the case with some Dykem or even a sharpie to see where it is rubbing but your best bet would be to have your smith do a chamber cast and then do some measuring.

Then and only then check out Innovative Technologies - Reloading Equipment if needed, which if you are headspacing off the shoulder, you should not.
You could try coloring a sticky case with a sharpie, chamber and extract it, see where it is making contact, measure with a mic and compare with a case that does not stick. Once you find out where the problem is you can address it.
