185gr Berger VLD in .308 Win Load?

Shooting out of a bolt with a 20in barrel. I WS2 coat my bullets if I need to change the nodes for the max loads. I shoot F-TR and need a screaming load to beat the wind. 175s just aren't as competitive anymore. And like I was saying varget, 4064 and 8028 are too fast, 8028 being way too fast...

185gr Berger VLD in .308 Win Load?

I'm trying to work up a load also for the 185 VLD's. Seated at the lands the base of the bearing surface is just above sholder neck junction and only want to single load them. The Varget and 4064 I have seem to burn too fast for the 308 heavies and looking for something new. I've been using...

    Rem700 AAC-SD loads?

It's is a dry lubricant coating that you apply to your bullet simaliar to moly or HBN. All 3 coatings have different properties, some good and some bad. It's personal preference if you use them or not. In a nut shell it allows you to reduce copper fouling, increase the amount of powder you use...

    Rem700 AAC-SD loads?

Alittle heavier bullets 168grn bullets are really too light with the 1/10 barrel. they may shoot good but the faster RPM with a light bullet will enhance the imperfections in the balance of the bullet. 175's are the lightest id shoot. I have 2 loads that shoot excellent out of my AAC-SD. I...

Bench rest or match grade primers. Are they REALLY better than standard?

All the name brand primers are good Federal, CCI, Winchester, Russians. Weight sort any of the primers to .05 or .02 grains and it will create a difference in group size. I shoot F-TR and it will reduce verticals by about .1 -.2 moa. I use russian/tulammo primers because they have a harder cup...

    Powder for .308 Match Loads

I get sub 1/4 groups with h380 with 185+ pills.... YES I said H380, and them suckers are cookin when they come out of the tube. Also had slow, but excellent results with IMR 4064 with 178gr amax's. N-140 is great too but I feel like the extremely inconsistent kernel sizes can produce flyers if...

Large rifle primers with a hard cup.

Love me some cheap-o-Russian primers I only use Tulammo LR primers in my 308 FTR gun, and really every other gun I use. Their cheap, have the hardest cup(except for the NATO/armor piercing hard primers), burn hot, and when weight sorted to .02 grain increments helps keep ES in the low single...

    precision rifles... show em

Meet Patsy, My 308 She started life as a Remington 700 AAC-SD. I trued the action fluted bolt. Made an extended bolt knob, fitted a holland oversized firing pen, slapped a badger m16 extractor on then lapped the lugs to the action. The action was trued, scope holes were retreaded 8-40 and...
