Range Report Looking for info on Barnes bullets

Im thinking of playing around with some barnes bullets for penetration of objects such as glass or other hard things. I have noticed that my Sierra Matchkings tend to fall apart, or the jacket seperates from the core. I want to have a load that will penetrate, with less deflection, and still...

    Barnes Solids

Has anyone used the Barnes solids in caliber 6.5mm ? I'm looking for people's impressions of the 110 grain solid and the 120 grain tipped solid. Accuracy? Stopping power? wind cutting ability? Opinions on the use of all copper solids verses the standard copper jacketed lead projectiles?

204 Ruger loads with 26 grain Barnes

I have a box of the 26 grain HP's by Barnes. Hodgdon lists data for 32, 35, 40 and 50 grain bullets, but not the 26's. I back calculated a load range for BLC-2 and H335 for a linear regression to 26 grains, added a little to the min, and worked up to a little past the max (1 grain) for what I...

    338Lapua Magnum - Barnes Bullets

Hi everyone, I'm looking at trying 225grn TTSX from Barnes as a hunting load. My local dealer advised me to load the projectiles at least 50 Thou off the lands. While this gets the length of the cartridge down to a length that will fit in the magazine, I'm concerned that a jump that...

22-250 and the Barnes TSX question

I have a Rem 700 with a 26 inch barrell and 1 in 14 twist. I tested the 53 gr TSX and was getting like a 4 inch grouping. The barnes manual says that you need a 1 in 12 to shoot both the 53 and 45 gr tsx. I really wanted to get these bullets to work becuase of the great results I have hunting...

    Barnes in a 223

For those of you that have a 223 and have shot the TSX, which bullet would be recommended for an 8 twist? 53 grain or 62 grain? Powder recommendation also welcome. I was planning to try these through my 223AI for small deer and piggies.
