How are you guys depriming your 408 Chey-Tac brass ? I have heard of some guys just taking a punch and driving out the primer. Or are you using custom dies with a deprimer pin ?
Hi,
I was surprised to find out that it is not possible to find dies for .408 CheyTac even in Midway. Any hints who may supply them with shipping to Europe?
If I decide to make them by myself where to find appropriate blanks? Probably 1" diameter is necessary?

What is the barrel contour of the Cheytac M310R made my Lawton ?
I need the measurements so that I can relay some info for a barrel channel inlet on my stock.
Thanks
I got to paint another 375 CheyTac today. This one done in a "military inspired" desert theme camo. These rifles are awesome to see in person for sure. This one belongs to hide member KYShooter338. Pics are a bit less than top quality, but hopefully you can see it well enough to enjoy...
I know there is a big difference between these cartridges as far as range goes. I want to build a ELR rifle and am trying to decide.
On average, how much of a difference is there in weight for the rifle itself between these? Can they be built to similar weights, or is it like a .50 and they...
What do you need in a scope for shooting at extreme ranges with a round like this? How much adjustment, magnifacation etc?
Would the Premier 5-25 do it, or should I be looking at something else?
OK, so I am getting ready to start a build. I have settled on a Lawton 8000 repeater and a Lawton barrel. I want to do a 375 setup and have searched and researched for weeks. It is my understanding that projos and twists are very much up in the air right now. So, here is what I don't know:

Ok so I have had my 408 Cheytac (M310-R) for about 2 years now, I love the rifle but hate the McMillan stock that its in. So, I ordered a stock from McRee's Precision a couple days ago. Scott said something about the bottom metal being different and it might not fit in his stock without some...
Guys
Thinking of having a 375Cheytac put together, but brass quality worries me.
What brass are you guys using, and how is it performing? Are any of you using brass manufactured by Bertram in Australia?
Cheers
looking at going and building a dream rifle, would you suggest all Lawton parts or Surgeon " if they make an action that can hold it "
also stocks like manners??
Most importantly a smith that can machine this dream to a perfect shooting machine.
thanks
looking for options and after considering...
i know of a group of guys who are building a rifle for a 3000yd attempt on a prairie dog this fall....now before u guys say thats impossible keep in mind this rifle isnt going to b tactical at all...its suppose to weigh something like 50 lbs and ride on some sort of rail rest....but what i want...
I just finished coloring on this BEAST of a rifle built by Lawton Rifles for a member of the hide here. It is a 375 CheyTac and it is something to behold. Quite impressive in person. I hope you like it DebosDave. For anybody wondering what the heck that symbol is, visit DDs profile and check...
Just saw the current(April 2009) issue of "Special Weapons for Military & Police" and they have an article on the CHEYTAC 408 Magnum..it states 3000 yard capability.
Does anyone know did they come out with a new round?
As far as i know there´s a .375" Round based on the .408"Chey-Tac Case.
Who´s making the Bullets for this one ? Any informations about weight,BC, mayby a drawing...?

I've been looking in these forums for a few months now and really find it helpful.I was wondering if anyone has a long range site other than the Hollister hills clear creek basin spot everyone seems to know.It is closed due to asbestos.I am in need of 1000 yards or more.
