I'm new to bolt action and long distance shooting. I've been reading alot on the FAQ and leard a ton. I can't wait to get out and start shooting my new rifle...well it was used but this is my first so it's fine. I want to shoot 400-600yds decently. Finer the better but I'm sure I'll suck...
I have an el cheapo blast cabinet that I bought from Tractor Supply a couple of years ago. I've used it quite a bit and it actually works great as long as I keep fresh nozzles in it. The problem I have is that the plexiglass lid is so scrathed up I literally have to have my nose pressed up...
It was fun at my house yesterday. Man I love this scope and LaRue mount. Thanks to all for the great advice.I also picked up a Badger Ordnance 22MOA riser rail if I need it. And yes the caps will be upgraded as soon as I get to the gun shop

Here's the deal. Should I by all the scope I can afford and pick up a rifle in the $700-$800 range or should I try for more rifle (say up to $1500 or so) and get less expensive glass?
I'll have about $2100 - $2300 to spend.
