    who sells torx action screws? i can only find allen head and would prefer torx for a build. and does material matter when getting a recoil lug (steel/ss)? fyi action is steel and barrell is stainless.

    Pertaining to a Model 700 short action in .308 caliber, what is being gained by replacing the 3/16" thick recoil lug with a thicker lug? What is the real reason why factory recoil lugs are replaced with thicker ones? Can a rifle with a 3/16" lug do everything that a thicker lug can do?

    Low Recoil 308 loads, need help

    I got my girl a Rem 700 SPS with the 20in barrel for Xmas. However she is recoil sensitive, so I was hoping to find data for a 168gr Amax that is low recoil, but that will stay supersonic to 1000yrds. And hopefully shoot well at that ditance. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
