Anyone ever run a 1-11" twist on a .300 Win Mag??

I plan on using a 1-11" on a .300 Win Mag hunting rifle build -only going to use 180 and 200 grain ammo, nothing heavier. I know that the 1-10" is the standard but I'm gonna give the 1-11" a try.

Should not be a problem with anything up to the 208. Lots of folks shooting the 208 out of the 308 with 11 twist and doing just fine. The added velocity of the win-mag will easily handle the weight of bullet you are looking at.

Got a Bartlein 1-11" twist ordered - now the wait!!

Here's what I'm doing on this one:

.300 Win Mag hunting rifle

BAT HRPIC action = nitrided, spiral fluted bolt, "hunter" tolerances

Bartlein stainless 5R barrel = 1-11" twist, Krieger #5 contour, 25" finished length, Vais muzzle brake

McMillan Rem Hunter stock = sniper fill weight, 13 5/8 LOP, molded-in GAP camo

Badger M4 bottom metal, Rem mag box, spring, & milled steel follower

Jewell trigger tuned to 2#

Graphite black CeraKote

Seekins 34MM rings

Schmidt & Bender PMII 4-16x50 scope
