10/22 build

Long time lurker here. Just wanted to share my 10/22 build. Aftermarket everything except receiver. Kidd trigger, barrel, and bolt. I polished the receiver, made a SS pillar, opened up the stock a bit and bedded receiver and ~ 3" of barrel. Mueller scope. Cheap and fun to shoot!

Nice, what distance were the groups at?

I have a Mueller APV and seriously considering their 8-32 Target.

Nice I'm doing the same thing to mine right now I just need to decide on what barrel to go with. Yours looks great.

Thanks. Groups are close at ~ 35 yds. A threaded receiver would probably be better if you're starting from scratch.

How does it shoot at 100 yds? Also 18" barrel?

Yes, Kidd 18" barrel. It (I) really like the SK Std.+ so with those at 100 its 12" or so drop. Accurate, but any wind really moves it. I'll try to get some 100 group pics.

nice build...Idid almost the same steps but free floated the barrel by beding the rear of the action/trigger group....if you go the the rifire center forum the have a a step by step on it....otherwise you can't free float....made a big difference for me.
