Finally finished a project that took me too long.

I have my ruger 10/22 takedown in the Magpul stock. I added a pic rail in case I wanted to add some form of sight. Problem is that makes the iron sights unusable. Did some searching for a dovetail riser block. Can buy one for the front but not the back that works with elevation. So I decided to get a riser made for the circled area.

Took the two pieces of the site to a local machine shop to have a riser block made. I don't have a mill and we don't have small enough cutters for those at work. The shop wire edm'ed some out for me. Took a couple tries cause I specified too tall of a height.

I also tried tapping the holes with the wrong fluid (3in1 is not tapping fluid) and snapped 6-32 taps off in the holes. Got a coworker to burn them out for me with our couple hundred thousand dollar 5 axis drill press. It's a Makino Edm hole popper.

Finished tapping them tonight and edges broken. Birchwood Casey blueing stuff and installed.

Mess ups. Blued one is usable and threaded 8-32.
