i have ran a 10.5" 5.56 AR at work for years and have always wanted just a little bit more handguard. so ive been kicking around the idea of an 11.5"

i have never ran an 11.5"....is the extra inch in anyway even noticable in a cqb situation as far as manuvering goes?

thanks

I run a 10.5" LMT with a DD 10" handguard. Plenty of room for me.

Looks like a phantom to me, but what do I know?

I have a MRP and a LM8. The MRP is set up as a dedicated suppressor host. It's a 12 inch piston with gasbuster CH and surefire brake. I don't notice much of a difference between that and my buddies 10.3 inch with a can as far as length goes. You do notice it compared to my LWRC UCIW though.

I have a 10.5 in 5.56 and a 12.5 in 6.8, and they both work great. I use them both for CQB instruction, but primarily the 5.56 due to the price and availability of ammo.

Have handguards on both that allow me to mount my cans. I run max length handguards that allow for the cans. Very little barrel exposure. I also use the 6.8 on pigs and get great results. I would not change the set up in 5.56.

Very nice set ups for both Benchmstr and travclem.
