Are you planning on running a low pro gas block? If you are going to utilyze an FSB get a carbine length that has the features you want. I bought an 11.5 SBR upper here used and it had a Larue. I know that Larue is not too popular here on the Hide but I like the rail. Its a very slimline rail with built in QD swivel sockets at 3 and 9. Other than the Larue I've use Yankee Hills. The Yankees are a stout rail but with my small hands they are a bit much. Great quality just a bit big. It all comes down to your personal preference.

Mine is 10.5. I went with a Specter Length from YHM. It is 9.675in, Mid Length is 9.2in.
