Hope these turn out off my camcorder. Shot my Charger today at all 3 ranges using the Rapid Reticle and Blazer ammo-3 shots each--

Looks like it shoots. Good work! How was the accuracy with stock bbl at those yardages?
I've been looking at them, Chargers, for IMHSA silhouette shooting for a while now. Little bitty shoot off chickens at 100 yards make for a formidable target so I was concerned about the accuracy. If I drop an aftermarket bbl on one that limits the class's the gun can be shot in.

Allen-- there's a Magnum Research Picuda that's supposed to outshoot my type of setup for sale for ~399 at Specialty Sports in Colo. Sgs. The factory barrel would do ~2.0 MOA at 100 and certainly larger further out. This Kidd barrel shoots everything very well. I was out with a buddy a couple weeks ago who was shooting a big Kimber tgt. 22. I set up maybe 7 1-2" diameter rocks at 100 yds. and ran them all in as many shots before he could even get on them with his big tgt. gun.

Top--it's very close with anything that runs 1200-1300 mv. The Blazers run right with the Fed. Auto-Mtch. and Bulk Val. Pack 36 grainers from Wal-Mart to at least 150, and very close to 200.

I just killed a prairie dog today @ 290 on the 4th shot using that rig with 38 MOA of comeup beyond the optics 200-yd. stadia line (20.6 MOA). Had to use the 75% 10 mph point for windage. I couldn't believe it.

The Charger is a blast when I take new shooter to the range. I shoot it in some of our club "fun" matches also.
I bought a GM fluted barrel, cut it down to 10" and crowned it with a PTG crowning tool. Off the bench it will hold 2" with Wolf MT.

Time you change the barrel, put a good trigger kit in it you can get the Magnum Research Picuda mentioned above and be several $$ ahead.

Interesting u mention that. After i saw that rig above I thought about all the addts. i have in that Charger. If i'd have thought a bit more about it i'd have looked for one of those MR's instead. Unfortunately they're not making them anymore and u have to find a used 1 somewhere.

A buddy is shooting MOA's 10-22 clone in a Charger-like rig and has a Green Mtn. barrel on his and loves it. Grouping very well with Fed. Match. ammo. He said they tried several barrels including the Kidd and the GM beat them all...interesting.

Re: 100,150, and 200-yds. today with Ruger Charger

I used an MOA receiver on the last 10/22 I built. I like the threaded barrel attachment over the V block. Lilja barrel, Kidd Bolt and trigger group, Boyds Evolution??? stock. The only thing on it with the ruger markings is the mags.

Nice set-up ! I really like my charger. it is a under-rated .22. i cerakoted it snipergrey and used microslick on the internals, bolt etc. with the microslick the dirty .22 buildup is almost non-existent.i have a eotech optik on it. Lynn

Hey Steve, If you have a extra bolt and want to send it, i will microslick it for you (free, just postage). Thanks Lynn
