The 6mm 103 gr. ELD-X Precision Hunter load is ideal for hunting deer, antelope, and other medium sized game. Its long bullet is designed for 1:8 twist barrels and is also available as a component bullet for handloaders (Item No. 24550).

In studying for my 6xc I came to the summary that 8 twist is a good minimum for reliability with the 100-107 weight pills, a 7.5 twist is better for the 107-115 weight stuff. Northland stocks 8 twists on the shelf since thats what most seem to use but I went with 7.5 just in case I wanted to push the heavies.

Is the bullet longer than the 105 amax/bthp?

If you went with a 7.7-8 twist you should be fine. People shoot 115 DTACs in 8 twists. Should handle the 103s just fine. I use a 7.7 twist with the 108 ELD-M in my 6 Creed but also have a .243 with an 8.5 twist that shoots the 105 BTHP very accurately.
