Just a week ago I was hitting a little 4"x5" steel at 1000Y no problem.

No BC change detectable at 1000 yards. Muzzle velocity was 3140fps

Were you pointing only?
Or pointing trimming the meplat and re-pointing

I only pointed.

I used the Whidden arrangement. I tried both the "0" insert and the "1" insert. No difference.
