We shoot with a guy who either owns or works for 10x. We stock and use all of their rifle cleaning products I'll ask my buddies and see what they know.

There's a handfull of good smiths in PA, I dont know 10x but I do know Harry over at Up In Arms has done great work for me. Super reasonable and super guy!

Receiver tolerances were off causing the action to bind up (which I was able to get fixed) but the rail was misaligned so bad that my windage dial was rendered usless on my scopes. I had two separate gun smiths and my dept armorers tell me the reciever was a lemon, but 10X would do nothing to rectify the issue.

If the actions are made by Stiller, I bet he would rectify the situation if the tolerances were truly off. Have you contacted Stiller?

I have not heard many good reviews of them and have never owned one of their rifles. Grices in Clearfield has several on the shelves and I don't think they move many. Seems like the same 5 rifles have been sitting there for over a year.

FWIW:
Customers of mine have chosen Stiller actions for a number of full builds. Between them and the barreled action work we've done, I've prolly had close to 100 of them through the shop over the last 3 years.
The only issue we've ever seen is a tempermental xtractor on a single gun. 5 minutes of work with a file resolved it.
Using that as the barometer I would have to question the validity of the claim that the base holes/base(s) are out of alignment.
Anything is certainly possible, but remember that when a company focuses attention to a narrow line of products they tend to get good at making them. Setups and procedure become regimented and routine.
If the action is truly "bad" give Russ/Jerry a call. They will fix you up right away.

I make it to Grices a couple of times a year and have take a look at some of the 10x's they stock and they look pretty darn nice. Almost brought home one of their 338LM but ended up picking up a TRG in 300WM instead. Based on the comments here, glad I did!

To the best of my knowledge, Jerry Stiller has never had any connection to 10X Custom Rifles in Dubois, PA. http://www.10xcustomrifles.com/index.html
They are two seperate manufacturers and have always been so.
