Range Report 123gn Scenar limitations?

On the weekend I had the opportunity to check my data out to 1000m for my 6.5x47lapua. I haven't shot this that far before, but have had success with other calibres.
All was good out to 800m, and felt confident to go skip 900 and go straight to 1000m. That's when it all fell apart and I just couldn't get a hit. My data tells me 9.5 mils but even at 10.5 mils, all shots were falling low.
MV is 2900fps
Is it me or is this bullet not suitable at this range?

In hindsight, I'm beginning to wonder if I was high at 9.5 and splash just appeared to be low given the target was 4ft off the ground. Could I have been lobbing them over the top?

It could be that that load was not suitable for 1000. MV seems awfully low for a 123.

i have shot quite a few of the 123 scenar, my data shows 8.2 - 8.4mils to 1k when i adjust my speed down to 2900. My muzzle velocity is 3000. bullet is fine.

That's interesting that there is such a big difference between your data and mine for the same MV. I wonder why that is?
I'll recheck with the chrono and walk it out again when I get the chance.
My load is 37.6 of 2208 (Varget), from a 24" Rock Creek

Also check your other inputs, especially density altitude and height over bore. Garbage in, garbage out with ballistic calculators....

I shoot the 123s at 2900 and my (trued) 1K dope at sea level is about 8.3 mils, and here in CO at 8K DA the dope is 7.2

I am at 900 ft above sea level, as mentioned above check your variables, height over bore, enviroinmentals, bc, garbage in garbage out!

Is that 1000 meters or yards? My 1000m is 9.5 and 1000yds is 8.0.

But yeah, I'll start from scratch and re-enter everything. Its just a shame I don't get the opportunity to shoot past 500m very often.

Definitely check your chronograph data. I need 39+ gr to go 2900 in my 28" barrels with a 123. Hope that helps.

Thanks mate, I have since checked and is spot on at 2900. I only have access to the one chronograph though. Yours seems like at lot of powder to get there, especially with other replies saying mine is slow?
