Does anyone know what size stud, major diameter and pitch, is used on the typical Smithy BZ239/CZ239, MI-1237 lathes, the Precision Mathews PM12x37 size lathes, Harbor Freight, Bolton Hardware, etc.
My new MI-1237L arrives in a few days and will come with a 4 way type toolpost.
I'd like to get started making an adapter, Chicago bolt style, so I can mount my AXA wedge type QCTP on it. I need to make a bolt threaded 9/16-18 on the outside and threaded on the inside to fit the existing toolpost stud.
I'm wanting to make something like this and need to know what size threads are inside:
when I google the part # cm1224c-05-016, it seems to be used on a lot of different brands like Smithy, Precision Mathews, Enco, Harbor Freight, Grizzly, etc. I've downloaded and looked at the manual for every single 12x37, 13x37, 12x36, 12x24, size machine, from every single one of these companies. not surprising that their manuals are all copies of each other, with slightly different part numbers, but I cant find the stud size anywhere.
